UPCLOSE AND PERSONAL..,
AS A WOMAN I HAVE SO MANY CHALLENGES TO GO THROUGH AND YESTERDAY AS I WAS LOOKIN AT A TV SHOW I CAME ACROSS THIS TOPIC. AS AN AFRICAN WOMAN BACK HOME THERE IS A MENTALITY THAT BEING LIGHTSKIN IS SOMETHING GOOD OR SOMEWHAT BETTER. THEY THINK THAT YOU GET MORE GUYS LOOKING AT YOU,EASIER TO GET IN JOBS OR EVEN BE CALLED BEAUTIFUL JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE SIMPLY LIGHTSKIN. WEV GOT WOMEN GOING TO EXTREME LENGTH IN ORDER TO GET LIGHTSKIN WHICH TO ME IS VERY SAD.AT THE END OF THE DAY WE ARE ALL BLACK WOMEN AND BEAUTIFUL WHETHER WE ARE DARKSKIN OR LIGHTSKIN. WE ALL GO THROUGH THE SAME STRUGGLES AS WOMEN IN OUR EVERYDAY LIFE..WHEN AN IGNORANT PERSON APROACHES YOU WITH A STUPID COMMENT TELL THAT FOOL, HE OR SHE TO START LOVING THEMSELVES BECAUSE USUALLY PEOPLE WHO SAYS THINGS LIKE THAT HAS INFURITY COMPLEX AND HONEY THAT IS SOMETHING THEY HAVE TO WORK ON THEMSELVES.REMEMBER LOVE YOURSELF AND LOVE WILL COME TO YOU..MUCH LOVE TO ALL OF YOU MY BLACK SISTAS

sometims as humans it dont matta women or men, it is this thing called insecurity...it can be about anythin so as u sed some women tryin 2 b lightskin while they got beautiful black colour, to me they are just insecure and do not believe in themselves in what they wanna achieve on....so well said Nuru
ya thanks candy ya insecurity is a big issue for anybody an is somthing that we need to work hard n strive on ili even when a person is tryin to bring you down as long as u are confident then u will just dust it off
